Brothers, but NOT Blood Brothers

Met these two boys the other day and got a mug shot of them.  They are true brothers who love each other but obviously not blood brothers.  I’ve been reflecting on the first two brothers we know of in our world’s history, Cain and Abel. “Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.”  Abel was like the Kazakh nomads who were known to tend their sheep throughout the steppes of Central Asia.  Cain was like the farmers from Ukraine, who knew how to grow food.  Emnity on Cain’s part drove a stake through his heart and sadly blood on his hands with Abel’s death.  The rest is a sad history that we are still dealing with to this present day.  I pray for these two boys that they can show the world true love between brothers.
